vatican museum, with the incredible map room. winding paths to the sistine chapel. (like paris, it was not overhyped.)
sandwiches.
hadrian's memorial (aka castel sant'angelo): fort exploring + sketching.
finally, exploring the travestere area, complete with a wine and pasta dinner on a little side street café. bellissimo!

i told youu, gotta to the fountain at 3am. oh well, next time!
and the sistine chapel..........................mama mia. totally not overhyped. but did i tell you how i imagined it compeletly different! for some reason i pictured a gigantic dome over a gigantic building.
soooo not gigantic. soooooo not a dome. but stil so so so so so so fantastic.
